When God created a mother, he created a precious and beautiful woman. We read about Jesus’s mother Mary. She raised Jesus in the fear and admiration of the Lord. He was raised as we have raised our children.
A mother plays a very important part in a child’s life. When they are sick, their mother is usually the one that stays awake at night with them. She washes their clothes, cooks their meals for them and teaches them right from wrong.
Children aren’t meant to raise themselves. It’s the role of the parents. It’s sad but some children are raising themselves. Some homes, the mother is not in the picture (it’s grandma). We need godly mothers in homes today.
Children need to be brought to church and hear about Jesus. And for them to know he loves them and watches over them. And that they are never alone. Jesus tells us to suffer the little children to come unto me for such is the Kingdom of heaven.
I thank God I had a godly mother. She took me to church, taught me to pray and how to talk to Jesus. She taught us how to live for him. She raised 17 of us by herself and with the help of Jesus. She taught her daughters how to be good mothers and how to love their children.
Being a mother is not an easy job, but God made them special. Proverbs 31:10-31 describes my mother. That’s what kind of mother I had, and I thank God I was blessed with that kind of mother. This scripture is usually read in our church on Mother’s Day.
My mother has already gone to heaven. I miss her, but I have precious memories of her period she didn’t have it easy, but God sustained her period she was proud of her children, and her children are sure proud of her. She was a special gift of God for my family.
What kind of mother are you today? Jesus will help you. He sure helped my mom. Mothers are special. God bless all mothers on Mother’s Day!
Yours in Christ Jesus,
