The Easter Bunny is coming to town

TAYLOR COUNTY—Spring is in the air, and that means one thing; the Easter Bunny is hard at work preparing baskets for the area’s children to enjoy on Easter morning.

But before he dishes out all those sweet treats and goodies, the Easter Bunny will be making some special stops in Grafton, to help bring some springtime cheer.

Join the ladies of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 3081 Auxiliary for an Easter Bunny breakfast party, set to take place on Saturday, March 27, from 9:00-11:00 a.m.

Be sure to head down to the post home, located at 225 West Main Street, Grafton, for a delicious meal and a chance to see the star of the event.

“We know that right now is a busy time for Mr. Bunny, so we were happy to hear he was able to stop by and visit our local kids,” voiced VFW Auxiliary President Brenda Thompson. “After a very trying and tiring year, we think will be the perfect thing to help spread some springtime cheer!”

During the event, the ladies will be serving up a Grab and Go plate of pancakes, sausage, hashbrowns and a fruit cup.

The cost per meal is just $5, and proceeds will go toward the VFW Auxiliary’s Poppy Campaign, as well as Rising Starz Studio.

While there, children will have an opportunity to grab a picture with the Easter Bunny, free of charge.

Once your bellies are full, make your way to Rising Starz Studio, located at 837 West Main Street, Grafton, from 1:00-4:00 p.m., on Saturday, to take part in another popular Easter tradition.

The studio invites children of all ages to come and enjoy a day of egg coloring with the Easter Bunny.

Participants can get creative and colorful with their eggs, which cost $5 for a half dozen. The price also includes a portrait with the Easter Bunny.

All proceeds from this event will benefit Rising Starz Studio.

The event is being held by appointment only, so be sure to get your names on the list before it fills up, as spaces are limited.

Those wishing to take part may call the studio at 304-903-8799 to sign up. Registration may also be done by emailing [email protected] or by messaging the studio’s Facebook page at

So, grab your kids and get ready for a hippity hoppity fun time, as the Easter Bunny makes his way to Grafton!
