Outbreak count increases to 49 total, as Taylor County has 88th to 100th confirmed cases of COVID-19

Brings county case count to 43 active, 57 recovered and 1 death

TAYLOR COUNTY--Doctor David Bender, County Health Officer today, Friday, August 21, announced that the Grafton-Taylor County Health Department has confirmed Taylor County’s 88th to 100th positive cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) involving Taylor County residents.

The patients, who are both staff and residents at Rosewood Genesis Nursing Facility, vary in ages and are currently in isolation at their homes and Rosewood (in a separate Covid-19 wing that has been setup).

Epidemiological investigation to include contact tracing is currently underway.

The Rosewood outbreak count now has totaled 49 (33 residents and 16 staff – with 1 resident and 1 staff now recovered).

This brings Taylor County to a total of 43 active Covid-19 cases.
