Helen Naomi Cain, age 83, of Weston, passed away Friday, February 28, 2014, at Grafton City Hospital.
She was born in Harrison County, June 20, 1930, a daughter of the late Roy Edward Jordan and Wavelenne (Davis) Jordan. Her husband, Robert M. Cain preceded her in death September 2, 1988. They were united in marriage July 26, 1949.
Mrs. Cain was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved collecting nic nacs, reading her bible, listening to sermons and gospel music. She was a homemaker and a Pentecostal by faith.
Surviving are: two daughters, Beverly Cumpston, of Grafton, and Donna Miner and husband Clifford Junior, of Philippi; two sons, Dale Cain and companion Kim Carnes, of Salem, and Mark Cain and wife Roberta, of Grafton; eleven grandchildren, Pamela Cain, Craig Cumpston, David Cumpston and fiance’ Cathy, Patrick Cumpston and fiance’ Jennifer, Crystal Jack and husband Brian, Joe Miner and wife Heather, Dustin Miner, William Cain and wife Tori, and Christopher Cain and wife Andrea, Shania Carnes, and Shane Carnes and wife Cindy; six great grandchildren, James Cain and wife Chrissy, Jason Cain, Janessa Jack and Jordanna Jack, Zayna Cain, and Avery Carnes; eight great great grandchildren, Dixie, Daisy, James and Tessa Cain, and Aiden, Erica, Tara, and Harley Cain.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by: one son, William Cain; one granddaughter, Stephanie Helen Miner; and one son-in-law, Squire Timothy Cumpston, Jr.
Friends may call at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave., Grafton, on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 from 2 – 8 PM. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at the funeral home with Rev. Dave Maley officiating. Interment at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Doddridge County.
