Velma T. Newhouse, 87 of Windham, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna, Ohio.
She was born December 3, 1925 in Grafton, West Virginia to the late Clarence D. Hershman and Blanche D. (Wiles) Hershman. Velma was a factory worker at the Wilton Tool Company for many years.
She enjoyed flowers and gardening, sewing and crocheting, but especially cherished spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her step son, Frank Newhouse of California and her granddaughter, Tina Boylen of Ravenna, OH.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Grant Newhouse; one daughter, Elaine Davis; one brother, James “Jake” Hershman; and two sisters, Caroline Garrow and Vonda June Hershman.
Calling hours are from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 27th at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton and from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour on Monday.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home in Grafton on Monday, October 28, 2013 at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will follow at WV National Cemetery in Pruntytown.
