GRAFTON- Grafton City Manager Kevin Stead announced in a recent city council meeting, that they would be installing soccer goals at Maple Avenue Park soon. “We have had a lot of families asking about providing a place for children to practice because of the limited amount of locations available in the community that have soccer goals. Some are traveling clear to Knottsville just to practice,” revealed Stead.
The city is also providing new equipment for Walnut Street’s park and new basketball backboards are also on the agenda for some local parks.
The next city council meeting will be held September 17, at 6:30 p.m. at the Grafton City Municipal building. For the complete article see the 09-06-2013 issue.
