Taylor County Court House holds Mass Litigation Panel

W.Va. Circuit Court Judges provided a Mass Litigation Panel in Taylor County Tuesday morning. Featured left to right is:Judge John A. Hutchison of the 10th Judicial Circuit of Raleigh County.Judge Booker Stephens of the 8th Judicial Circuit of McDowell County.Judge Alan D. Moats of the 19th Judicial Circuit of Barbour and Taylor Counties.Judge Derek Swope of the 9th Judicial Circuit of Mercer County and Judge David Hummel Jr. of the 2nd Judicial Circuit of Marshall, Tyler and Wetzel Counties.

GRAFTON- The Taylor County Court House held a Mass Litigation Panel Tuesday morning that consisted of five circuit judges from around the Mountain State, including Taylor County Circuit Court Judge Alan D. Moats.

The panel normally consists of seven active or senior status circuit court judges appointed by the Chief Justice, with the approval of the Supreme Court of Appeals.

Before the proceedings began, Judge Moats ensured the court room, “Among all five of us sitting here today, with about 70 years of accumulative judicial experience, I have great confidence that we will be able to take care of this case.”
