They just donít make them like they use to...

GRAFTON- Grafton City Council met last Tuesday afternoon and were informed by Grafton Fire Department Chief Casey Jones that a siren testing would be performed soon. Grafton City officials and the Taylor County Fire Department entertained the siren testing from Capital Electronics Inc. beside of the Circle K Monday afternoon.

The council then discussed the recent heavy rainfall and its effects on the city. Director of Public Works for the City of Grafton Gerald ďBustyĒ Weber and Grafton City Manager Kevin Stead assessed the city streets for present and future drainage issues.

Jones informed council that Knotts Ave. was the worst area after the storm. A manhole lid had been completely brought out of the ground. Walnut, Beech and Maple Ave. were also reported to have issues.
