William R. “Bill” Loar

William R. “Bill” Loar, age 58, resident of Willard, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at his home, surrounded by his family.

He was born on February 8, 1955 in Grafton, West Virginia. Bill was a dedicated and loyal employee of CSX Transportation, where he worked as a Bridge Inspection Engineer for 38 years.

He was a member of the Willard Elks Post 1370 and loved to cheer for the West Virginia Mountaineers. He also loved watching all three of his sons play basketball for Willard High School. Bill enjoyed working from sun up to sun down, doing anything and everything but most of all, Bill was a loving son, husband, father and brother.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Kathy (Hussion) Loar, whom he married on June 14, 1980; three sons, Danny (Shelley) Loar of Olmsted Township, Ryan (fiance, Maggie Moore) Loar of Willard, and Joe Loar of Bowling Green; mother, Monford Loar of Winchester, Virginia; two sisters, Cathy (Robert) Sciegaj and Brenda Loar, both of Winchester, Virginia; and numerous extended family. 

He is preceded in death by his father, Leslie J. Loar; and brother, Stephen Loar.

Friends may call on Friday, April 19, 2013 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 11:00 AM with Deacon Vince Foos officiating.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Stein Hospice of Sandusky 1200 Sycamore Line Sandusky, Ohio 44870.
