Third grade students were excited to explore their personalized atlases.

GRAFTON - West Taylor Elementary third grade student Wyatt Dunham exclaimed, “I’ve got the whole world in my hands,” after receiving a personalized Webster’s International Atlases from the Grafton Rotary Club Thursday Morning.

The Rotary members, Mark Zeck, Ed Kerns, Kermit “Butch” Bias, Dan Pauley, Sam McDaniel and Lorraine Isner, visited all of the schools in Taylor County presenting atlases to the third grade students.

Rotary Club Member Sam McDaniel gave each class a quiz during the visits. “What is the capital of South Dakota, Virginia, Washington, Oregon, New Hampshire and West Virginia,” asked McDaniel. He also asked specific questions about W.Va., such as, the motto, state bird and the highest point in the state.
