Rheta E. Zorik was a resident of Painesville, Ohio, for over 52 years and passed away March 17, 2013, at TriPoint Medical Center in Concord Township, Ohio.
She was the daughter of Harold and Nellie (Sapp) Fortney was born April 1, 1935, in the Oak Grove community of Taylor County, W.Va.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed reading books.
A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she is survived by her husband, Mike Zorik, whom she married June 15, 1961; children, Marye Etta Fairchild of Concord, Michael (Kitty) Zorik of Perry, Marion Pongrass of Painesville, Michell (Steve) Walczak of Painesville and Marie (Jack) Baumler of Oberlin; 11 grandchildren, Heidi, Jason, Matt, Mark, Katy, Rachel, Stevie, Joe, James, Adam and David; nine great-grandchildren; and siblings, Harold Fortney Jr. (Dorothy), Catherine Gelhausen and Edith Gull (Don), all of Grafton, West Virginia, and Kenneth F. Fortney (Brenda), of Shinnston, West Virginia. Mrs. Zorik was preceded in death by her parents and granddaughter, Lee Ann.
Interment will be in Perry Cemetery.

Funeral services for Rheta E. Zorik, 77, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at the Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Ave., Painesville, Ohio.
Friends were received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
The Evangelist Elmer Spence, minister of the Madison Avenue Church of Christ, will officiate the services.
