GRAFTON – The Grafton Taylor Community Health Department has spent its share of time in the spotlight over the last year. Unfortunately, audit reports have the potential to keep it in the spotlight for a while longer.
Taylor County Prosecuting Attorney John Bord noted that he did receive the audits and the report concerning the discrepancies. “The audit made specific finding that came to my attention. Therefore, I had an obligation to the citizens of the county to start an investigation,” commented Bord.
Dr. Wentzel noted that there were some irregularities in the reports during that meeting, but stressed that none of them (the irregularities) were under the current administration (Joyce Lee). “There were questions and they have been corrected,” explained Wentzel during the meeting. He continued, “We are running a clean ship with our policies in order.”
