Jane Stephenson, 83, of Ripley, WV, passed away February 10, 2013, in the Hillcrest Hospital, Mayfield Heights, OH.
She was born August 23, 1929, in Grafton, WV, a daughter of the late Clair T. and Lula (Phillips) Woodyard. Her husband, Eugene E. Stephenson, and a brother, Jim Woodyard, also preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Flatwoods United Methodist Church, and was actively involved with the church Ladies Aid. She was a homemaker, a seamstress, and enjoyed crocheting, reading, music, attending church services, and spending time with her daughters, and grandchildren.
Survivors include daughters and their husbands, Judy and Frank Grandstaff of North Myrtle Beach, SC, Marsha and Ralph Fisher of Florence, SC, Susan and Steve Chambers of Ravenswood, and Amy and Jim David of Kirtland, OH; grandchildren, Toni (Howie) Hartung, Tami Tonkin, Frankie Grandstaff, Jason (Jodi) Carmichael, Jenni (Tom) Covington, Ambria (Josh) Kirtley, Joe (Katelyn) Chambers, Ellie David, and Katie David; great-grandchildren, Macy Hartung, Chase Hartung, Josie Carmichael, Jonah Carmichael, and Sydney Covington; brother, David (Eva Jo) Woodyard of Ravenswood; sisters, Nancy O’Connor of Sheffield Village, OH, Ruth Elaine (Harry) Lehr of West Chester, PA, Donna (Pete) Isner of Ripley, Janice (Tom) Stemple of Ripley, Carol (Art) Stockett of Pickerington, OH, and Suzy Mitchell of Grafton.
Service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 15, 2013, at Casto Funeral Home Chapel, Ravenswood, WV, with Howie Hartung officiating. Committal service will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Woodsdale Memorial Park, Grafton, WV. Visitation was Thursday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
