PRUNTYTOWN – The Taylor County Middle School (TCMS) Spanish classes proved to the Taylor County Board of Education (BOE) that students really do have fun when they learn.

On Tuesday, Jan. 22, the regular meeting of the board was held at the school, and board members were treated to a performance by Blanca Skaggs’ Spanish classes.

TCMS Faculty Senate Chair Cindy Oliver provided the board with the faculty senate report.

Teagarden gave a report on a recent RESA 7 meeting he attended with Taylor County Superintendent of Schools, Bob Maynard. Teagarden explained that one of the subjects discussed was school safety in light of the recent tragedy in Connecticut.

Maynard had supplied the board with the contract for artificial turf at McKinney Field, provided by ProGrass.
