GRAFTON – The Taylor County Prevention Partners met last week to prepare for a community readiness assessment.

Taylor County Family Resource Network (FRN) Director Walesca Marrero introduced guest speaker Carol Mangone. Mangone is a professional surveyor and needs assessment evaluator contracted by the FRN to aid in the upcoming assessment.

Mangone explained, “The community readiness assessment asks, ‘What do yo think is going on in your community?’”

Mangone instructed the prevention partner assembly about her goals of assessing the needs of Taylor County concerning prescription drug abuse.

Marrero noted that she would like to get the research done as quickly as possible to be able to make plans for 2013.
