Paul Edward Roy, age 71, of Christiana Street, Grafton, passed away, Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at his residence.
He was born in Grafton, January 17, 1941, a son of the late Delmus Clay Roy and Mildred (Watson) Roy.
Mr. Roy was retired from the City of Grafton with 24 years service. He was employed at the Sanitary Sewage Plant as a lab technician. He was a Grafton High School graduate of the class of 1959. He was a ham radio operator and a member of the AARL National Association for Amateur radios. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family, and a protestant by faith.
Surviving are: one brother-in-law, Jimmy Riffle; one sister-in-law, Carolyn (Stewart) Roy, both of Grafton; nine nieces and nephews, and many great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by: two brothers, John Roy and Robert Roy; and one sister, Elaine Riffle.
Friends may call at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave., Grafton, on Saturday, December 29, 2012, from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., at the funeral home with Lay Minister Jimmy Arnold officiating. Interment will follow at the Bluemont Cemetery.
