GRAFTON -- On Friday afternoon, Dec. 21, the Grafton Rotary Club assisted the Blueville Church of Christ with their monthly food distribution.

The Blueville Church of Christ Act of Kindness Food Pantry services approximately 65 families each month including 160 adults and 90 children. It is a wonderful mission in the Taylor County community to help our friends and neighbors.

Under the direction of Neil Wolfe, the Act of Kindness Food Pantry is in its second year of operation and each month purchases food, with church funds, grants and donations from local businesses and citizens, from the Mountaineer Food Bank. The food they purchase is then distributed to families in need.

During the holiday season, Rotary District 7530, which encompasses North Central West Virginia, provided the Mountaineer Food Bank with a grant to purchase turkeys to compliment the various county food pantries, and to provide a little extra for the Christmas holiday.  In the cold and snowy weather on Friday afternoon, the Rotary Club of Grafton assisted with the distribution of food and turkeys.
