David Eugene Weaver, age 62, a resident of Mansfield Place of Broaddus Hospital and a former resident of Rt. 4 Philippi, passed away Thursday, December 20, 2012.
He was born October 18, 1950 in Barbour County, a son of the late Teddy and Thelma Emma (Weaver) Weaver. Surviving are: close friend, Ellen Murphy of Philippi; two sons, Mike Weaver and companion Hattie Nestor of Thornton and Greg Weaver and companion Von Lantz of Grafton; two brothers, Paul Weaver and wife Brenda of Fort Gay, WV and Robert Lynn Weaver and wife Sue of Weston; three grandchildren, Michael Todd Weaver, Kourtney Weaver and Tamarie Weaver; and two step-grandchildren, Tyler Freeze and Cody Dye.
David was a farmer he enjoyed working in the hayfield, hunting, gardening yard work, and spending time with his friends. He was a Methodist by faith.
Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 216 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Friday, December 21, from 6 p.m.-8 p.m., on Saturday, December 22, from 8 a.m.-8 p.m., and on Sunday, December 23, from 8 a.m.–2 p.m., the service hour with Pastor William Lanham officiating. Interment will follow in the Clemtown Cemetery.
