Arden Lipscomb

Arden Lipscomb, age 79, of Flemington, WV, passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2012 at his residence.

He was born on October 19, 1933 at Simpson Creek, a son of the late Edward and Jessie Linkswater Lipscomb. Arden is survived by his wife of 51 years, Nancy Louise Bays Lipscomb.

Mr. Lipscomb is also survived by a son Greg Lipscomb and wife Penny of Lost Creek ; three granddaughters: Kalah Tucker and husband Josh of Fairbanks, Alaska, Taylor Lipscomb of Huntington, and Sydney Lipscomb of Lost Creek; and two sisters: Garnett Lipscomb of Flemington, and Iris Webber of Albion, PA.

In addition to his parents, Arden is preceded in death by six brothers: Kenneth, Robert, Donald, Charles, Russell, and Clyde; and one sister Bernadine Welch.

Mr. Lipscomb served his country in the United States Army and later retired from Rex-Hide in Grafton with over 30 years of service. He was an avid NASCAR fan, as well as, sports especially baseball. Arden was a member of the Flemington Assembly of God Church.

The Family will receive friends at the Bradley J. Mayle Funeral Home in Flemington, WV on Sunday, November 25, 2012 from 2 to 8 P.M.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday, November 26, 2012 at the funeral home at 11 A.M. with Pastor Charles Jeffries officiating. Interment will follow in the Simpson Cemetery where full Military Graveside Services will be conducted by the VFW Memorial City Post 3081, Taylor County Post 12 American Legion, D.A.V. Chapter 24, and the WV Army National Guard of Kingwood. The Lipscomb Family has entrusted the final arrangements and care of their loved one to the Bradley J. Mayle Funeral Home Flemington, WV.
