Shirley Ann Swick, Age 61, of Flemington (Barbour Corner), passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at her home under the care of her husband, family, and Hospice.
Shirley was born on May 22, 1951 in Grafton, a daughter of the late Russell L. and Maxine D. Shugars Knotts.
Shirley is survived by her husband Dearl J. Swick Sr. whom she married November 20, 1996.
Also surviving are two sons, Erick Swick and wife Tracy and their children Koda and Draken; and Dearl Swick Jr. and wife Maria; two daughters, Cathy Swick Finchan and Linda Swick Marshall; two sisters, Lois Knotts and Pamela Knotts Stout; one brother, Terry L. Knotts and wife Donetta; one sister in law, Patty Knotts, and ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents Shirley was preceded in death by her daughter Shannon Lee Bartlett; two brothers Ray D. and Ronald L. Knotts; and one sister in law Sharon Knotts.
Shirley was a member of the Flemington Assembly of God Church. She loved gardening and bird watching in her free time.
Shirley wanted to thank Jammie, Courtney, Gracie, and Lexie for their love and kindness to her.
The Family will receive friends at the Bradley J. Mayle Funeral Home in Flemington, WV, on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at the funeral home at 12 Noon with Pastor Charles Jeffries officiating.
Interment will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery at Philippi. The Swick Family has entrusted the final care and arrangements for their loved one to the Bradley J. Mayle Funeral Home Flemington.
