Gary Lee Jenkins, Sr.

Gary Lee Jenkins, Sr. age 60, of Rt. 1 Flemington, WV passed away Sunday, June 17, 2012 at his residence.  

He was born September 15, 1951 in Rosemont, WV a son of the late Bernard Rex Jenkins, Sr. and Eleanor Gene (Maxwell) Jenkins. 

He is survived by his former wife, Dessie Jane (Parks) Jenkins of Grafton; one daughter, Ellnor J. Poe and husband, Timothy of Flemington; three sons, Gary L. Jenkins, Jr. and girlfriend, Jody Hayhurst of Flemington, Robert G. Jenkins and girlfriend, Rosemary Campbell of Morgantown and Charlie D. Jenkins and girlfriend Brittany Stire of Flemington; nine grandchildren, T.J., Brittany, and Laci Poe, Raven and Autumn Jenkins, Jaydyn and Kerry Jenkins, and Hunter and Hayden Jenkins; five brothers, Bernard Jenkins, Jr., James Jenkins, Ronnie Jenkins, Donnie Jenkins, all of Flemington, and Terry Jenkins and wife Christina of Clarksburg; three sisters, Betty Ann Jenkins and boyfriend, Chuck Mayle, Julie Bartlett and husband, Leonard Bartlett, Sr. all of Flemington, and Carolyn Sue McGee and husband, Carl of Ohio; also survived by twelve nieces, nine nephews, and twenty-three great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Betty Jenkins

Gary worked as a laborer for the Flemington Greenhouse, the City of Flemington, and Aconomy Fencing Company and he enjoyed going deer hunting.

He was Pentecostal by faith.

The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Wednesday, June 21. from 3:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour on Thursday.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 21, 2012 with Pastor Orville Wright officiating.

Interment will follow at the Flemington I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
