Roger William Bennett, 67, of Knottsville, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2017, at United Hospital Center, with his family by his side.
He was born November 16, 1949, in Grafton, son of the late Charles E. and Evna Mae Sturm Bennett. He is survived by his wife, Pamela Lake Bennett, whom he married July 4, 1970.
Roger graduated from Grafton High School Class of 1967. He attended Shepard University and Fairmont State College, before receivixng his degree in computer programming from Pittsburgh. Roger loved to ride his side-by-side with his many friends and boating. His first job was at Union 76, he then sold insurance, drove tractor trailer for General Delivery, than he retired from CSX Railroad, in Grafton.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Ryan Bennett and wife, Christy, of Grafton; two brothers, Dr. Charles E. Bennett and wife, Martha, of Grafton, Donald Bennett and wife, Shirley, of State College, PA, one sister-in-law Linda Adlington, of Knottsville; numerous nieces and nephews, that loved and enjoyed being in his presence.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother-in-law, Norman “Skeeter” Adlington Jr., one sister-in-law, Patsy Isner Eshenbaugh.
Friends will be received at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave., on Wednesday, February 8, 2017, from 3:00-8:00 p.m., and on Thursday, February 9, 2017, from 9:00 a.m., until time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Bert Coffman officiating.
Interment will follow at the Lake Acres Cemetery, in Knottsville.
