Earl married his wife of 63 years, Margaret Ann Browning on January 25, 1950.

Margaret survives with four children and their spouses, Earlrita (Roy) Gibson of Troy, Paula (Byron) Peppler of Belleview, Florida, Belinda (Daniel) Bashore of Lebanon, Ohio, and Graydon (Angie) Satterfield of Piqua, Ohio. Earl was a writer of poetry and often took time to write down his thoughts on life. This is an excerpt from one of those writings:

“At the end of this life, I would like to be remembered by my family and friends as one who had more regard for others than myself, as one that lived for Christ although far from being perfect, and one with many faults yet Christ did shine through all the faults of this body. Realizing that it is only in death that victory comes and that I really begin to live.”

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 28, 2013 at the Grace Baptist Church, Ludlow Falls with Pastors Dale Scott and Monty Stratton officiating.

Interment will follow in Miami Memorial Park, Covington, Ohio.
