William Hobart Frum Jr.

William Hobart Frum Jr., Age 83, of Rosemont, WV, passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at the Mon General Hospital in Morgantown.

He was born on August 10, 1929 in Rosemont, a son of the late William Hobart Sr. and Mildred Marie Nestor Frum. William is survived by his wife of 57 years, Shirley Ann Wilfong Frum.

In addition to his wife Mr. Frum is survived by one son Kevin Frum and wife Lisa of Indian Head, MD; two daughters: Michele McCracken of Clarksburg; and Lisa Phillips and husband Allen of Belington; three grandchildren: Jamie McCracken of Morgantown, Kevin Frum Jr. and Kayla Frum both of Indian Head, MD; one brother Herbert Frum of Ravenswood; one sister Shirley Ann McCauley of Flemington; two brother-in-laws John Wilfong and wife Ruth of Rosemont, and Bedford Wilfong and wife Dorthy of Belington; and three sister-in-laws: Mary Henley of TN, Nettie Fosselman and husband Don of SC, and Janet Alexander and husband Tom of MT.

In addition to his parents Mr. Frum was preceded in death by one son William Hobart Frum III, brother Clinton Frum, son-in-law Lonnie McCracken, his father and mother in law Bedford and Mary Wilfong, sister-in-laws: Icy Greathouse, Louise Trimble, and Velva Wilfong; and brother-in-laws: Denver, George, Raymond, and Harold Wilfong.

Mr. Frum served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict, and then retired as Postmaster of the Rosemont Post Office with 47 years of service. He was a member of the Yates Lodge 163 Flemington, 32 degree Mason of Wheeling.

Mr. Frum served as President of the Flemington Nutrition Site as well as serving on the Taylor County Senior Citizens Board. He attended Grace Baptist Church in Bridgeport, and was a member of the Bailytown United Methodist Church in Rosemont. He was also a member of the VFW Memorial City Post 3081 in Grafton, the Queen Ester Chapter of Clarksburg, and a retired Scoutmaster of Troop 97. William loved hunting, fishing, sightseeing, and going to church.

The Family received friends at the Bradley J. Mayle Funeral Home in Flemington, WV on Sunday, November 11, 2012 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday, November 12, 2012 at 11 a.m., at the Grace Baptist Church in Bridgeport with Pastor Jeff Vaughan officiating. Mr. Frum will lie in state at the Church on Monday morning beginning at 9 a.m. until the funeral hour. Interment will follow in the Flemington I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
