Marvin P Sigley, 63, of Thornton, WV, passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at his residence.
He was born June 10, 1949 in Marquess, son of the late Wilson and Mabel Grover Sigley.
Marvin graduated from Fellowsville High School. He loved spending time with his grandsons, the outdoors, hunting, fishing and looking for ginseng. Marvin was retired from the Laborer Local #379 of Morgantown.
Marvin is survived by his loving wife, Patty A Barthelemy Sigley, whom he married on February 5, 1977; two daughters, Amy Turner and husband Jamie, Grafton, Sarah Maxwell and husband Clay, Tunnelton; two grandsons, Gavan James Turner and Ethan Gage Turner; four brothers, Ivan Grover and Sandra, Fellowsville, Terry Sigley and Connie, Fellowsville, Danny Sigley and Carol, Fellowsville and Leon Sigley, Tunnelton; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Fred and Jessie Moore Barthelemy; one brother-in-law, Larry Barthelemy and Stephanie, Clarksburg; two sisters-in-law, Donna Freeman and David, Thornton, Linda Biddle and Kenny, Grafton; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Marvin was preceded in death by one brother, Keith Sigley.
Family and friends were received at Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown Ave. Newburg, WV, Thursday, October 11, 2012 from 2 p.m.-8 p.m., and will be received Friday, October 12, 2012 from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. with the Pastor Ron Ford officiating.
Interment will follow at Payne Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Payne Cemetery, Rt. 1 Box 1, Thornton, WV 26440.
