Catherine L. (Beltner) Estel

Catherine L. (Beltner) Estel, age 69, of Rt. 6 (Bunner’s Ridge) Fairmont, WV passed away Monday, September 10, 2012 at her residence. 

She was born September 19, 1942 in Ballsinger, PA a daughter of the late Andrew William Beltner and Mildred L.  (Bolyard) Beltner Trisler. 

She is survived by her beloved husband of 28 years, Dale R. Estel; one son, William Keith Pride and wife Lisa of Fairmont; one daughter, Sherry R. Tibbits and husband Barry of Holton, IN; two granddaughters, Trista R. Williamson and husband Jared from Cincinnati, OH and Hannah R. Pride of Fairmont; two step-sons, Richard and Kevin Estel both of Fairmont; one step-daughter, Willa Hobby of Floren, LA; also survived by several great-grandchildren; two brothers, William I. Beltner of Grafton and Sheriff Robert H. Beltner and wife Mary Ellen, also of Grafton; one half-sister, Sue (Trisler) Criss and husband Roger of Grafton; and also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Charles A. Beltner; her step-father, John L. Trisler; one niece, Dawn Marie Criss; and her former husband, Jimmie Gene Pride. 

Catherine graduated from Grafton High School with the Class of 1960.  She retired from the Marion County Board of Education as a Custodian and formerly worked at the WV Plastics Company in Grafton. 

She enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren, and making crafts.  She took pride in the fact that her brother was the Sheriff of Taylor County and her nephew “Bobby” was the Grafton Police Chief. 

The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Thursday, September 13, 2012 from 3:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m.,  and from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour on Friday.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 14, 2012 with Pastor Sonny McNear officiating.

Interment will follow at the Haymond Cemetery.
