Naomi Yvonne (Dewitt) Hershman

Naomi Yvonne (Dewitt) Hershman, age 84 of Route 3, (Wickwire Road) Grafton, WV passed away Thursday, June 21, 2012 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV.

She was born September 27, 1927 in Newburg, WV a daughter of the late Daniel Blake Dewitt and Hilda Margaret (Bell) Dewitt.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Carl Raymond Hershman.

Naomi is survived by two daughters, Karen E. Hedio and husband, Steve Hedio, Jr. of Fairmont, WV and Doris Ann Currey and husband Paul D. Currey of Clarksburg; one son, Keith Allen Hershman and wife Allison of Denver, Colorado; seven grandchildren, Paula, Julie, Chris, Kade, Kyler, Kaleigh, and Liza; six great-grandchildren, Katlyn, Meghan, Abbigail, Madison, Aydan, and Chloe; one sister, Barbara Metheny and husband Howard of Terra Alta, WV; one brother, Darrell Dewitt and wife Virginia, of Newburg, WV; also survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister to her family and enjoyed needlework, crocheting, working word puzzles, and watching television.

She was a member of the Haymond United Methodist Church.

The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Sunday, June 24th from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour on Monday.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 25, 2012 with Pastor Sue Lowther officiating.

Interment will follow at the Evansville Cemetery in Preston County
