Gene Leslie Tucker, Sr.

After a short illness, Gene Leslie Tucker, Sr., passed from this life to the next to join his wife on June 15, 2012.

He was at his son’s home in Baltimore, Maryland surrounded by his loving family at the time of his passing.

Gene Leslie was born on November 10, 1925 in Garrett County, Maryland. He married Mona Sue Tucker who predeceased him in 2011.

Gene is the father of Alice Tucker, Gene L. (Linda) Tucker, Jr., John (Maureen) Tucker, Robert (Jennie) Tucker, Geal (Daniel) Summerhill, Brian (Dawn) Tucker and Carlton (John) Tucker.

He is a loving grandfather to Daniel, Donald, Don, Susan, Jennifer, Patricia, Katherine, Kimberley, Brian, Jenna, Delanie and Alyssa.

A sister, Ada Tucker, and four dear friends, Betty, Pat, Curt, and Petty also survive him.

Gene proudly served his country for 20 years, first in the Third Marine Division in WWII, then in the US Army where he retired. 

Gene was proud to be a resident of Grafton, West Virginia for the last 25 years, where he and his beloved wife made their home.

Honoring Gene’s wishes, services were private.
