James H. White

James H. White, 81, of Fairmont passed away Saturday January 30, 2010 at the Louis A. Johnson Veteran Medical Center in Clarksburg, WV. James was born in Grafton February 22, 1928 son of the late Hershel Arthur White and Mamie Trader White.

James was a truck driver formerly employed at Interstate Engineers, Fairmont; Harmen Bros. Grafton; and Ray Thomas Trans. Fairmont. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the Army, member of VFW Post 7048, and his religious faith was Baptist. He enjoyed his pets, camping, train trips and playing cards.

Survivors include two sons, William Prichard and wife Naomi of Fairmont in which James resided the last six years of his life; James White of Fairmont; one step-son Bill Cole of Akron, OH.; three grandchildren Sonya Bingamon of Fairmont, Shawn White of Clarksburg, and Tammy Valentine of Farmington; and seven great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Jean Cole White and second wife Dorothy Lee White.

Family received friends at Domico Funeral Home 414 Gaston Ave. Fairmont Tuesday, February 2, from 1 until 8 p.m. and will receive friends on Wednesday, February 3, from 10 until 11 a.m. Funeral service will be Wednesday 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Reverend Edward Ray and Reverend Tim Ray officiating. Burial will follow at the Woodsdale Memorial Park in Grafton. Full military rites will be conducted at graveside by the Marion County Veteran Council.
