Shirley Ann (Adams) Kittle, age 68 of Rt. 1, Flemington, WV passed away Saturday, October 24, 2009 at her home.

She was born April 15, 1941 in Andrews, NC a daughter of Jesse W. Adams of Grafton and the late Carrie Belle (Buchannan) Adams.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 49 years, Ronald L. Kittle of Flemington; four children, Rhonda Ann Kittle of Morgantown, WV, Ronald Jeffrey Kittle and wife, Rebecca, of Flemington, Ryan David Kittle of Charleston, WV, and Rodney Adam Kittle and wife, Kelsie, also of Flemington; five grandchildren, Amber Brooke Sarver, Christin Taylor Kittle, Janel Lynn Kittle, Aiden Luke Kittle, and Elias Joel Kittle; two sisters, Frances Bishop and husband, David and Judy Karsten, both of Greenville, SC; also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Shirley was the Administrative Assistant for the Superintendent for the Taylor County School System, former teller for the First Community Bank of Grafton, and a tax clerk for the Lewis County Tax Department.

She passionately enjoyed reading, sewing, traveling, and her family. Shirley was an avid fly fisher woman.

She was a long time active member of the Beulah Baptist Church. While there she established and led a ladies’ prayer group and prayer chain. She was also a member of the American Baptist Women.

The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Monday, October 26, from 1:00-8:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Richard McDonald officiating.

Interment will follow at the Simpson Cemetery.
