KNOTTSVILLE -- Back on August 8, the Elkins Tigers handed the Grafton High School Golf Team its only loss so far this season.
However, the Bearcats gained a little sweet revenge over the Tigers out here on the Tygart Lake Public Golf Course Tuesday afternoon, winning by four shots.
“After four away matches, it was nice to play at home on Monday and Tuesday,” said Grafton’s Coach Mike Crutchfield. “Today’s match was close, but revenge is always sweet.”
Grafton defeated Morgantown by 13 strokes out here on Monday, August 19, and then swept a Big Ten Conference triangular match here Tuesday, August 20, to improve their record to 10-1 overall and to 7-1 in league play.
