GRAFTON -- There used to be an old philosophy among track & field coaches that you don’t invite anybody you can’t beat to your own invitational meet...Well, old philosophy or not, coach Andrew Moore’s Lady Knights won the girls’ division of the Taylor County Middle School Toothman Ford Invitational Track & Field Meet.

Tylar Griffith won the 200-meter hurdles, individually, to lead the Knights. Plus, he was also part of the first-place and school-record-breaking 4X75-meter shuttle-hurdles-relay team, along with Tristan Cochran, Gabe Stover and Joe Grant.

The current standard for that race is 9 minutes and 48.0 seconds, which was set during the 1998 season by Craig McDougal, Doug Kirkpatrick, John Riffle and Scott Gemberling.
