Grafton’s girls double-up Liberty to advance

GRAFTON -- The Grafton High School Girls’ Basketball Team whipped the visiting Liberty Lady Mountaineers, 70-34, here in the Scotty Hamilton Gymnasium Monday night during a first-round Class AA Region II Section Two Play-Off Game.

That victory advances coach Tom Spadafore’s Lady Bearcats into a semi-final-round date with the home-standing Lady Indians today at 7:30 p.m. in the Bridgeport High School Gym.

This win lifted Grafton’s overall record up to 9-12 on the year, going into today’s match-up with the state’s Class AA second-ranked Lady Indians.
