Fawcett & Griffith lead the Lady Bearcats to victory

GRAFTON -- Kari Fawcett had a hot hand from the three-point line, and Hannah Griffith simply took over the paint during the second-half action to lead the Grafton High School Lady Bearcats to a 48-33 Big Ten Conference victory over the visiting Lewis County Minutemaids here in the Scotty Hamilton Gymnasium Wednesday night.

Fawcett and Griffith out-scored the Minutemaids by themselves, 39-33, and Grafton never trailed in this ball game...But, it was not quite that easy.

The win lifted Grafton’s record up to 5-8 in the Big Ten, as well as 6-10 overall, while Lewis County fell to 2-11 on the season.
