Posted: Friday, Aug 23rd, 2013

GRAFTON- According to Taylor County Sheriff Terring Skinner, 11 vehicles were vandalized on Pup Run Road, near the Hickory Hills Development in Taylor County Tuesday night.

Nine of the 11 vehicles were unlocked which enabled the subjects to enter into them as they rummaged through to find items of value.

Skinner informed the Mountain Statesman, “We contacted Marion County, and the occurrence seems to be isolated in the Taylor County area,” he continued, “We would like to stress to people, please, lock your cars no matter where you live. It doesn’t matter if it’s in Grafton, Thornton, Simpson or any other area of Taylor County.”

Skinner also stressed that valuables such as, purses, cell phones, GPS’s or laptops that are kept in the car, should be out of sight.
