Judy Barney receives service award

GRAFTON- Taylor County’s Prosecuting Attorney’s Legal Assistant Judith “Judy” Barney received the Criminal Justice Service Award for her outstanding performance and dedication to the Criminal Justice System at the West Virginia Prosecuting Attorneys Association’s meeting Friday, June 28.

During the meeting, Executive Director of the West Virginia Prosecuting Attorneys Institute Philip Morrison stated, “Mrs. Barney was selected by the institute’s staff for her knowledge and dedication to the citizens of Taylor County and the State of West Virginia.

Taylor County’s Prosecuting Attorney John Bord also commended Barney on her service and deserved award, “Judy has been around the Criminal Justice System for over 30 years. There was no doubt she is entitled to the award. She is one of the reasons that this office runs efficiently. I am proud of her; she is the first Taylor County employee to receive the Criminal Justice Service Award.”
