GRAFTON – On January 30, the Mountain Statesman ran an article concerning the West Virginia Department of Veterans Affairs’ proposal to eliminate the $20,000 line item Grafton Memorial Day Activities. West Virginia Senator Bob Williams has informed this publication that he had sent a letter to West Virginia Governor Earl Ray Tomblin’s Office right after the article was published, requesting that the funds be restored.
Senator Williams received confirmation from the Governor’s Office recently assuring him that the $20,000 has been placed back into the proposed 2014 budget.
