At the end of last week, a winter storm in Taylor County forced area schools into another extended weekend. As school resumed on Monday, March 1, 2010, Anna Jarvis Elementary School (AJ) discovered a cool visitor.
As Ms. Sypolt entered her preschool classroom and lifted the blinds to allow a little light in the room, she took a second glance. Looking back at Ms. Sypolt stood a cool, chilly, visitor that rolled into AJ during the storm.
This cool visitor greeted Ms. Sypolt, teachers, and students with a cheerful smile, mathematic mannerisms seen on the yardstick arms, and a learning opportunity for all.
The students were allowed to meet and greet the cool visitor, and get acquainted one on one.
Some students were anxious to have a cool picture taken with the visitor, and thanked him for coming. The cool visitor told Ms. Sypolt that he would be leaving soon, but he will return again someday.
