Debra Ann (Mullan) McCauley, 51, of Hinton, Virginia, passed away January 31, 2010 at the University of Virginia Medical Center.
She was injured in an accident on Saturday.
Mrs. McCauley was born September 24, 1958 in Grafton, West Virginia, and was the daughter of Leonard McCauley of Richlands, North Carolina, and Carrie Ann Rutherford Fitzwater of Grafton.
She moved to the area in 1989 and worked at the Virginia Poultry Growers in Hinton. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Besides her parents, she is survived by a fiancée, Jim Appleton, Hinton; sons, John Rutherford and wife Jessica, Zephyrhills, Florida, Jeremiah Shaffer and wife Krystal, Elkton; daughters, Rebecca Shaffer, Pennsylvania, Jamie Wilt, Hickory, North Carolina, Pricilla Mullan, Hinton; a brother, James Fitzwater, Grafton; sisters, Beverly Lucas, Ohio, Judy Kisner, West Virginia; and numerous grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 4, 2010 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Kyger Funeral Home in Harrisonburg.
Friends may also call at the homes of children and fiancée, at any time. Burial will be private.
